Over the last few decades, decreasing combustion byproducts has been one of the primary drivers in the design of Safran’s engines.

Safran continuously improves the efficiency of its engines. Ongoing progress in reducing fuel consumption and lightening aircraft help reduce polluting emissions, while the upcoming use of alternative fuels should help us go even further.
All of these actions improve air quality around airports, by decreasing emissions of oxides of nitrogen (NOx), volatile organic compounds (VOC), carbon monoxide (CO) and particles.
