Our partners

Benchmark partnership with GE. Back in 1974 Snecma (Safran) and General Electric created CFM International, an equally-owned joint venture, to develop and market the CFM56 turbofan engine for single-aisle commercial jets. Snecma is also a partner to GE on several larger turbofans, the CF6, GE90 and GP7200. On July 2008, at the Farnborough air show in Britain, the two engine-makers signed an agreement renewing their partnership until 2040.
